The Jenson Family
Meet the Jenson family; Jacob and Kiersten Jenson. Surrendering themselves to reach the Navajo Nations, this couple will build their lives among the Navajo Indians. They will be a vital part of Navajoland Baptist Missions. Though originally from Minnesota, their sending church is The Bible Baptist Church out of DeLand, Florida. They are on deputation currently, as they travel to raise support for their endeavors. Their goal is to be on the mission field by March of 2024. They will be assisting another missionary (Joel Haynes) as they are trying to become established in Kayenta, Az. Please pray as they seek to serve God, in the land of the Navajo.

Small Package, Huge Answer to Prayer
Greetings from the desert! What a blessing and an honor to serve the Lord another month in Navajoland! April was an amazing month that had so much happen. So many new beginnings for the church, myself in the ministry, and my wife and I personally (hint hint). Our month began with a group from Bible Baptist Church in McConnellsburg, PA arriving to work on the new building. They started with just a concrete slab on the ground and had a fully framed and dried in building completed in six days. It was a real blessing to get to meet the men that came to help and jump in where I could help build the church house. Among the group there were also two unsaved men who’s saved grandfather/father had paid to send them on the trip. The Lord saw this sacrifice and both Steven and Duane accepted Christ during the week. PRAISE GOD! Do continue to pray for the building project and the building fund out here for Stronghold. The more that churches pray and give, the faster we can see this building completed and have more room to grow the congregation. On the 7th, I had the privilege of starting the Stronghold Baptist Teen Class. I had been looking forward to being able to get this class going, and the Lord blessed us with 14 young people on the first Sunday of the class. GLORY TO GOD! Please continue to pray for this ministry as Kiersten and I would love to have an impact on the lives of these young people. Please pray God begins to work mightily in their lives. Finally, now to address the elephant in the room. THE JENSON FAMILY IS NOW A FAMILY OF THREE! On Sunday the 21st, Kiersten and I rushed down to the hospital in Show Low, AZ (3hrs from Pinon) on assumption that Andrew was on the way. It turned out to be a false alarm, but we were advised to stay in the area and that the time was near. We stayed close to the hospital for a few days and went back on Thursday afternoon. After 18 hours of labor, at 9:39 in the morning on Friday the 26th, Andrew Paul Jenson joined the world. Its hard to believe that we are now parents, and I’m sure it hasn’t fully set in yet. Thank you so much for your prayers for safety and a healthy baby. Kiersten and I are so thankful and beyond humbled at the blessing and responsibility that God has entrusted us with. Please pray that we can raise this child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, that we can train him to have a heart to follow the Lord, and that Kiersten and I settle into a new routine with a little one around the house. Looking ahead, we are excited for the first youth activity in the month of May, as well as family members coming to visit to see the new relative. I will also be filling the pulpit more often as Bro. Haynes’ travel schedule ramps up a little over the summer. Please pray for safe travels for him and that I can hold down the home front while he is away. We are so thankful for all the blessings that happened in April. None of it would be possible without the prayers of God’s people. Thank you so much for your continued prayer and support. It truly does make a difference!
