Dear fellow laborers in Christ,
April 7, 2024
What a beautiful time of year it is in Landstuhl, Germany. The flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and the weather is turning! Better than all that is the Lord is working! It is very fitting as things start to come to life during this spring season that we celebrate the Resurrection of our dear Lord who gave us life eternal through salvation. Praise His Holy name!
The month of March was possibly the busiest month we have experienced since we have been in Germany. The Lord has directed me the past few years to teach through the ordinances several weeks before the Lord’s Supper and Easter Sunday. Because of the two salvations we had back in
February, these two ladies were very interested in moving forward for the Lord in baptism and discipleship. We also had another lady from Ghana who gave a clear salvation testimony who was interested in baptism. Each week of March we met with these three ladies to teach them through
baptism and other questions that they had. Every lady gave testimony that they have never been in a church that preaches, teaches, and explains the Bible like they have heard since being at Grace Baptist Church. This is not a pat on my back, but praise be to God who put it on the heart of several
men of God to see churches started to reach our military. Would they have ever heard the Gospel had God not put a church here? Would they have ever heard the Gospel had not Bro. Gary Craft followed the Lord’s leadership to start GBC in his early 70’s? Would they have ever heard the Gospel if the work would not have “Continued” on the foundation and path in which it was birthed? It’s possible that they would not have heard! On March 17th
, we had Baptism Sunday! This was an opportunity to preach and teach to the entire church on baptism as well as baptize these dear ladies. It was a
wonderful Sunday with many guests. The parents of Ms. Nora, who was once part of the Catholic religion, were present and lost. They were able to hear the Gospel and see their daughter follow the Lord in believers’ baptism. We are praying that the Holy Spirit will convict them of what they
have seen and heard that they might receive Christ as their Savior!
There are several families who will be leaving Germany and our church in the next several months due to new assignments. It is our desire to link them to a like-minded Baptist church and pastor before they arrive so they can have that settled once they are there. The first few weeks and first
contact can be the determining factor with some of these people. We are trusting God for the wisdom and favor with pastors to make these contacts and partner with other churches to receive these men and women who need a Bible preaching and Jesus loving church. Although this last month was extremely busy and tiring, we have been energized by the Holy Spirit to continue. There is a sweet spirit amongst God’s people at GBC and a hunger to see God do more of what He has been doing in the lives of the lost and the saved. Please pray that God would allow us more one-on-one opportunities to share the Gospel with the military community and that God would ignite a fire for souls in the heart of those that are saved! Thank
you for being our partners in ministry, friends, and extended family! We are privileged to be your representatives in Germany. We love you all!
For His Glory,
